Following the Jerry Jeudy trade on March 13, the Broncos signed a seasoned wide receiver.

The Denver Broncos had a small vacancy at wide receiver after trading Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns.

Denver made the trade to provide head coach Sean Payton a reliable wide receiver to replace Jeudy. The signing of former Detroit Lions wide receiver Josh Reynolds by the Broncos was announced on March 27 by ESPN source Adam Schefter.

Reynolds will join the team on a $14 million, two-year contract, according to a post Schefter made on X.

Reynolds will become a member of the Broncos receiving core that already includes Tim Patrick, Courtland Sutton, and Marvin Mims Jr.

The seven-year veteran helped the Detroit offense and Lions quarterback Jared Golf produce consistent plays. In 17 games, including 13 starts, Reynolds had 40 receptions for 608 yards and five touchdowns on 64 targets last season.

The Texas A&M product caught 97 catches for 1,393 yards and 10 touchdowns through 38 games with Detroit in 2021–2023.

Even though the Browns acquired Jeudy, Payton and the Broncos acquired a trustworthy receiver in exchange before the 2024 season.

Josh Reynolds Began in Hollywood Before Establishing Himself with the Lions

Reynolds made his Hollywood debut with the Los Angeles Rams, long before he established himself in Detroit.

In the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Reynolds was chosen by the Rams. Reynolds has 1,450 receiving yards, nine touchdowns, and 113 receptions on 201 targets over his first four seasons with the Rams.

In 2020, his final season in Los Angeles, he recorded career highs in receiving yards (618), receptions (52) and starts (13). The former Aggie agreed to a one-year contract with the Tennessee Titans in March 2021.

Before being cut by Tennessee in November of that season, Reynolds only appeared in five games for the Titans.

Reynolds was promptly claimed by the Lions, and he was reunited with Goff, his Rams teammate from 2017 to 20. In a 24-23 victory over the Rams in the previous year’s Wild Card Round, both players exacted revenge on their former squad.

Goff finished with 277 yards and a touchdown on 22 of his 27 passes completed, while Reynolds gained 80 yards on five grabs.

Denver will have a great quarterback going ahead if Reynolds can perform as well as he did with Goff on the Rams and Lions.
