Throughout the first two weeks of NFL free agency, the Detroit Lions took care of their defensive needs. However, Chad Reuter of NFL.com predicted that the Lions would select Darius Robinson in the first round in order to continue acquiring defensive quality.

In his four-round NFL mock draft on March 22, Reuter had Robinson selected by the Lions at No. 29 overall.

According to Reuter, “Robinson showed off his versatility in Missouri’s scheme last year, often standing up at 285 pounds.” “He would probably be used similarly by the Lions, across from Aidan Hutchinson.”

Robinson’s greatest asset going into the 2024 NFL Draft is his physical tools, particularly the amazing force he can exert with his body.

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com stated that Robinson “should have a potential advantage in head-to-head matchups right out of the gate due to his physical attributes.” “He can swiftly remove obstacles with his startling strength and twitchy upper body.

“Robinson has a better chance of developing into a good starting base end who reduces inside on third downs because of his strength and motor.”

Robinson recorded 8.5 sacks, 14 tackles for loss, and 1 forced fumble in 12 games in 2023. In all, he had 43 tackles.
