Following his decision to depart Mercedes after 11 seasons, seven-time Formula One champion Charles Leclerc will partner with Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari in 2025.

There are two possible outcomes for Ferrari’s treatment of Lewis Hamilton, and both will probably irritate Charles Leclerc.

For years, the Italian squad has been formed around the Monegasque as its main component. However, their newest prize, seven-time Formula 1 winner Hamilton, will be joining him the following season.

The British driver, who has chosen to start a new chapter in his career at the age of forty, is displacing Carlos Sainz. Before he finally retires from racing, his sole objective will be to win the title a record eight times.

But Leclerc will anticipate being in the driver’s seat if Ferrari is able to challenge for that championship. When it comes to handling that circumstance, F1 TV expert Will Buxton believes team principal Frederic Vasseur has two choices.

According to Buxton, the Frenchman will have to either treat them both equally or explicitly inform Leclerc that, while he is still the team’s future, Hamilton is the team’s priority for the time being. The Formula 1: Drive to Survive actor stated in an interview with The Red Flags podcast, “I think you just have to promise them parity.”

“That if there are any upgrades, they either bounce one to one such that the other person gets the first one the next time around, or they don’t bring the upgrade until there’s enough for both of them. They will both have the same automobile and the same opportunities.

Alternatively, you tell Charles, ‘Look, he’s a seven-time champion and he’s going to finish first. You just have to swallow this and take this as a chance to learn from him. You’re going to be here for the long haul, and this is your team, now and forever. Lewis is expected to stay for two or three seasons.
