One of the biggest games of the season will take place when the Premier League returns this weekend at the Etihad Stadium when Manchester City takes on championship rivals Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta’s team is looking to win a Premier League title for the first time in 20 years, and they come back from the international break at the top of the standings. However, their ultimate test will come when they play champions City right away.

Nine years have passed since Arsenal last triumphed at the Etihad, and both teams are awaiting vital injury information prior to kickoff. Both John Stones and Kyle Walker sustained injuries while playing for England, and Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli were absent from the international break.

When Liverpool FC hosts Brighton on Sunday, they will have the opportunity to reclaim the top spot in the Premier League. However, the Reds have suffered a setback as their top candidate to succeed Jurgen Klopp, Xabi Alonso, was disqualified from consideration for the Anfield position.
