Before Sunday’s probable championship matchup between Liverpool and Manchester City, Mohamed Salah is back in full training with the Reds.

The Egyptian has only made two appearances for the Reds in 2024: on New Year’s Day, in the 4-2 victory against Newcastle, and on February 17, in the 4-1 triumph at Brentford, after coming off the bench.

After suffering a hamstring injury during that west London match, Salah was forced to sit out the Africa Cup of Nations competition in January. In the interim, he had to watch Liverpool win the Carabao Cup, advance in the FA Cup, and continue their excellent league play.

He may now be ready to play again in Thursday night’s Europa League last-16 match in the Czech capital after being spotted on Wednesday participating in a full practice session at Liverpool’s Kirkby headquarters alongside his teammates.

Alongside Salah, players such as Darwin Nunez and Dominik Szoboszlai were also being worked out. Nunez scored a thrilling last-second goal in last weekend’s 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest after both players had recovered from their individual injuries.

Despite several rumors on social media on Tuesday suggesting he was injured, Caoimhin Kelleher participated fully in the practice as well. When Alisson Becker is out with an injury, the Irishman will continue to play goalkeeping for the Reds.

Before the match against City, Klopp will be relieved to have Salah back in the starting lineup, however it is unclear if he will be risked for the trip to Prague. Last week, when discussing his level of fitness, Klopp stated, “With Mo, it’s day by day as well.” He feels a little degree of weariness in the same location. We’ll have to watch it unfold. We have to see, but it’s not crazy.

After Liverpool’s flight to the Czech capital, they will hold their pre-match press conference on Wednesday night. Klopp will undoubtedly face questions about Salah’s fitness.

If their talisman plays for Liverpool before then, Egypt will be keeping a careful eye on his fitness, and there are rumors that they plan to utilize him during the next international break.
