Von Miller’s legal problems will be resolved, according to general manager Brandon Beane’s rather cryptic forecast, and the Buffalo Bills anticipate having him back for the 2024 campaign.

After recovering from an ACL tear, Miller struggled to reclaim his old form in 2023. Later in the season, he was accused of assaulting his girlfriend. The Bills have been committed to the seasoned edge rusher, and Beane has talked about preparations for a full comeback next season, despite some rumors that the team may part ways with Miller if the league punished him for the assault charges.

Bills anticipate a resolution to Von Miller’s legal issues.

During this week’s NFL Combine, Beane addressed reporters and provided additional insight into the accusations made against Miller. He expressed hope that the matter would be resolved quickly and alluded to the fact that the team was fully aware of the problem from the start.

According to SI.com, Beane stated, “We didn’t make any kind of drastic moves at the time because we’re pretty confident in what we know.” “Until we are shown something different, we know what we know, and we don’t see anything that would change Von’s return. We anticipate it disappearing.

In November, Miller faced allegations of hitting his girlfriend who was expecting a child. Miller handed himself in to Glenn Heights police on a charge of assaulting a pregnant person, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Miller vigorously refuted the accusations, and his girlfriend then added her own denial to the list.

“NFL player Von Miller’s girlfriend made the 911 call on Wednesday, which resulted in his arrest on Thursday,” the news organization WFAA announced on X. She has also been in text communication with our reporters: ‘No one assaulted anyone,’ she texted. This is completely crazy. and depressing.

Miller had not always been so sure about his future in Buffalo. Shortly after the accusations were public, Jay Skurski of the Buffalo News pointed out that the Bills might have a way out if they decided to let go of the All-Pro edge rusher, since they could choose to terminate Miller’s contract should the NFL sanction him.

Von Miller Back on Track

The Buffalo Bills signed Miller in 2022 in the hopes that he would have a significant influence on defense, but after tearing his ACL on Thanksgiving Day of his rookie season, he battled to return to full strength in October 2023.

Despite just recording three total tackles and no sacks, Miller did demonstrate improvement in his pass rush towards the end of the regular season and during the playoffs. Beane expressed his optimism that Miller would maintain his current upward trajectory into the 2024 campaign.

“Since the season concluded, I have communicated with Von. You saw glimpses of that in Miami, Pittsburgh, and Kansas City, I would say, when we sat Von down for a game a few weeks ago, Beane added. It’s just more of it now, in my opinion, and getting him into a groove. It’s the delicate balance of knowing how many bullets a shooter needs to start? Von is a shooter from there and a rusher. What does he need to get a lather, then? Keep in mind that you don’t want him playing 40 or 45 snaps either given his age.
