The current IT disruption, which has also impacted big banks and television broadcasters like Sky Sports, has an impact on Premier League clubs, including Manchester United.

One of the teams impacted by the current worldwide IT outage that has halted ticket sales is Manchester United.

The outage, which has received a lot of attention on social media, caused problems for a number of organizations on Friday morning, including banks and television stations.

Only a few weeks before the new Premier League season begins, United and other clubs have now taken action to postpone ticket sales as a result of the event.

“Unfortunately, due to a global Microsoft Servers outage which is affecting many systems, including ours, this morning’s ticket release will be postponed until midday,” United announced on their Man Utd Matchday X account to confirm the news.

In addition, the website will not function until the problem is fixed. We’ll keep you updated here on anything new, including any potential delays.

Many other teams, including Crystal Palace, a Premier League foe, have taken a similar stand.

Along with clubs north of the border, many EFL clubs—including Blackburn, Plymouth Argyle, and Preston North End of the Championship—have also acknowledged on social media that they are impacted by the problem.

Palace said via a post on their official X account that the disruption has caused ticket sales for their season-opening Premier League match against Brentford to be postponed until next week.

The Eagles posted on their website: “Ticket sales for Brentford vs Crystal Palace have been postponed until Monday (10:00) due to a worldwide problem impacting Microsoft systems. Please do not call the box office since we are unable to handle ticket sales over the phone or online. We are sorry if this has inconvenienced you.
