After George Russell made fun of Lewis Hamilton’s ‘Spanish girlfriends,’ the Formula One star wished he could get away quickly. Before the Spanish Grand Prix, the Mercedes stars were entertaining the crowd in Barcelona when Russell decided to make a lighthearted joke about his teammate. In his last season with Mercedes, Hamilton, who will join Ferrari in 2025, has yet to win a race.
Russell has also been outperforming Hamilton during the campaign, which has made matters even more unpleasant. Hamilton said, “I don’t really know a lot of Spanish foods because I don’t have a Spanish girlfriend,” when it came his turn. Before Hamilton could say anything further, Russell had to jump in and remark, “You don’t have a Spanish girlfriend, you have Spanish girlfriends.”
The fans laughed, and Hamilton looked genuinely surprised by the joke, smiling and nodding. Russell made a cheeky comment, to which the audience responded with a hearty roar, demonstrating how much they enjoyed his lighthearted banter. Hamilton was often spotted with Spanish-speaking Colombian diva Shakira last year. Last year, they were pictured having fun together on a boat ride in Miami. The ‘Waka Waka’ singer was also spotted supporting Hamilton during the Spanish Grand Prix.
Regarding personal information regarding his romantic relationships or dating status, Hamilton has never said anything.
