Hollywood’s elite Brad Pitt and Lewis Hamilton will share the screen.

Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time world champion, will make his feature debut in the upcoming Formula 1-based film “Apex,” starring Brad Pitt, after a difficult and expensive production.

Lewis Hamilton will make his acting debut in one of the most costly movies ever made.

The legendary driver of Formula 1 is co-producing the upcoming film “Apex,” which stars Brad Pitt as an experienced race car driver who comes out of retirement to coach a “young phenom” portrayed by the highly regarded British actor Damson Idris. In addition, Hamilton, 39, is anticipated to have a minor part in the highly anticipated film, which is now predicted to cost Apple Studios more than £240 million ($300 million).

‘Apex’ is expected to rank at least 12th on the list of most expensive films ever made because of the strikes that occurred throughout Hollywood last year, the delays imposed by Covid, and the usage of well-known actors in real race cars, according to Puck News. That’s on par with films like Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, DC’s Justice League, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

The film is being directed by Joseph Kosinski, who also happened to be acquainted with Hamilton. Kosinski directed the box office hit Top Gun: Maverick in 2022. Despite this, the film still lacks a distributor or release date. As part of his efforts to make the movie as “authentic” as possible, the Mercedes icon—who will drive for Ferrari in 2025—will make his on-screen acting debut, according to the Sun.

“In a recent interview with GQ Magazine, Hamilton—who has played an animated character in the Cars trilogy and made a cameo in the Zoolander sequel—emphasized that “this movie needs to be so authentic.”

“Our fan base is divided into two groups: the older originals who have been watching the BBC Grand Prix music every weekend with their family since they were born, and the younger generation who only recently discovered it on Netflix.

“I believed that calling BS has been my main responsibility. “This is not going to happen.” “That’s how it would work.” “This is one possible outcome.” Just advising them on what racing is truly about and what would and wouldn’t appeal to them as racing fans.”

Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, and Sarah Niles have all been announced as cast members, meaning Pitt and Idris aren’t the only celebrities involved.

In July of last year, after filming scenes at Silverstone ahead of the British Grand Prix, Pitt, 58, revealed insights about the story. “I would be a guy who raced in the 90s, in fact, I would have been on the track with you at some point, so we’ve got to get to you to do a cameo!” the Hollywood A-lister said to Martin Brundle of Sky Sports. He then experiences a terrible crash, kind of passes out, and starts competing in other sports.

“After that, Javier Bardem, who plays his pal, is a team owner. They are the bottom squad in the league; Damson Idris, a budding talent, plays for them. They are ranked 21st and 22nd on the grid and have never scored a point. He sort of hails me as a Hail Mary, and then mischief is committed.

“Let me tell you what makes it so incredible. The cameras are installed throughout the vehicle. You’ve never seen speed like this in photos, and you’ve never seen the G-forces alone. It’s quite thrilling.”
