Lewis Hamilton disagreed with Nico Rosberg’s assessment of his error in the first qualifying round, which resulted in his qualifying P18 for the Chinese Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton, who qualified eighteenth, has rejected Nico Rosberg’s accusation that the Chinese Grand Prix qualifying was a “disaster.”

For the first time since the 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Hamilton lost time after locking up at the hairpin on the penultimate lap of qualifying. As a result, he finished Q1 in 18th place rather than the top 10.

As a Sky Sports pundit, former competitor and Mercedes teammate Rosberg called the error “avoidable” and a “disaster” for the team.

Hamilton, a seven-time winner, disagreed with the idea.

“I don’t blame anything on the team – I think it wasn’t one of my best qualifying laps,” Hamilton told the press.

“I just couldn’t make it around Turn 14 because there was a tailwind.”
