The New York Jets have a top-30 player, Chop Robinson.

Chop Robinson, a pass rusher for Penn State, is one of many candidates that the New York Jets are bringing in for top-30 visits before to the 2024 NFL Draft.

Robinson will visit the Jets for a top-30 visit since the draft this year is less than a month away. The New York Giants and the Jets are the teams Ian Rapoport of NFL Network revealed he was meeting with on Thursday, April 4.

Robinson has booked visits with several more teams, including the Saints, Eagles, Ravens, and Seahawks, according to NFL source Aaron Wilson.

Robinson is attracting interest from many teams. With the 10th overall choice in this year’s draft, the Jets might be well-positioned to take a chance on the former star of the Nittany Lions.

Report on Scouting for Chop Robinson

Robinson has some excellent tools that could help him become a star even though he may not be the most polished EDGE in this draft class.

Robinson was a 2021 high school graduate and a 5-star prospect. Before moving to Penn State, he played for Maryland during his freshman year. In terms of output, he had a modest three-season college career, totaling 11.5 sacks and 20 tackles for loss.

Robinson could be selected in the first round, though, because of his athleticism more than his output. He weighed in at 254 pounds and was little under 6 feet 3 inches, with a Relative Athletic Score (RAS) of 9.71 out of 10. Excellent results in the broad jump, 20-yard shuttle, and 40-yard dash increased the score.

Robinson has exceptional first-step explosiveness in the movie. In order to get to the quarterback, he can fly around the edge and display some nice bend. He may also play strong to attack blockers who are preventing a run or pass. Nonetheless, he still needs to improve his technical parts of the game, especially as a pass rusher, in order to begin converting pressures into NFL-caliber tackles.

Visits by Other Jets Top-30

Robinson is not the only notable talent that the Jets have scheduled a visit with a top-30 team.

Rome Odunze, the wide receiver, stands out from the team’s most recent trips. A standout player for the Washington Huskies, he possesses exceptional size, contested-catch skills, and exceptional athleticism. He’s even had Davante Adams compared to him.

Aaron Rodgers, who threw to Adams while they were teammates with the Green Bay Packers, will be excited by that comparison.

The Jets have also hosted a visit with quarterback Jordan Travis. But, he would probably be selected much later than Robinson or Odunze and used as a backup quarterback in development. This offseason, the former Seminoles standout is still recovering from a horrific leg injury.

Among the more intriguing names on the list of the Jets’ alleged top-30 visits is Brenden Rice. He was one of Caleb Williams’s best weapons while they were at USC. Jerry Rice is the son of the legendary NFL player. Rice isn’t a very good prospect, but he has enough value to be selected in the second or third round.

Although visits don’t reveal everything before the 2024 NFL Draft, they do provide Jets supporters with an idea of the positions and prospects the organization is pursuing.
