Harry Kane goal not enough to save Bayern Munich

Even though England’s captain Harry Kane scored a late goal against Bochum, Bayern Munich lost for the third time in a row.

Jamal Musiala gave Bayern the lead just before the first of two stoppages that followed the complaints of the crowd.

Keven Schlotterbeck and Takuma Asano both scored goals for Bochum.

Dayot Upamecano’s dismissal was followed by Kevin Stoger’s penalty, making it 3-1, but Kane’s 25th league goal of the year was insufficient.

Bayern, who are currently eight points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen, are led by Thomas Tuchel.

Bundesliga victory “does not look very realistic,” according to Tuchel, but he said, “Last season we believed until the end and we were rewarded.” Thus, we will continue to work on it.”

Bayern, who have won the German championship the last 11 times, could end the season without a trophy this time around.

They were eliminated in the second round of the German Cup by third-tier Saarbrucken in November after losing in the German Super Cup in August.

Tuchel’s team suffered a 3-0 loss at Leverkusen on February 10 before falling to Lazio 1-0 in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 match midweek.

After his team’s third loss, Tuchel said, “That happens after every defeat,” about the pressure on him. What matters is ‘how’ we played. “These 90 minutes are very different from the second half at Lazio or the game at Leverkusen because the ‘how’ was good.”

This loss marked the first time since May 2015, under Pep Guardiola’s management, that Bayern had dropped three straight games.

BOCHUM’S ACTUAL VICTORY VERSUS BAYERN MUNICH

Play was halted for just under ten minutes in the first half and the first half again due to crowd protests that resulted in tennis balls being thrown onto the field.
Fans of the Bundesliga are increasingly demonstrating during games because they disagree with an investment plan that the German Football Association has put forth.
There have been several protests since a proposal to sell some Bundesliga TV rights in exchange for investment capital was accepted by German teams in December by a majority vote.
Remote-control cars armed with smoke bombs stopped Hansa Rostock and Hamburg’s Bundesliga 2 match on Saturday.

The Borussia Dortmund fan base threw tennis balls and chocolate gold coins onto the field last week, delaying their team’s match against Freiburg by ten minutes.
At halftime on Friday, February 9, Hamburg supporters attached six padlocks to a goal, igniting a protest that had to be broken before play could continue.
Kane keeps setting new records for goals scored.
Bayern had taken the lead thanks to a strong goal from Musiala, but following the first of the two stoppages, they lost twice in five minutes.

After elbowing Schlotterbeck, Upamecano received his second yellow card and was sent off, his second dismissal in five days following his red card against Lazio. Bochum scored the penalty to take a 3-1 lead.
Top scorer in the Bundesliga, Kane, pulled one back late on, but his team was unable to force an equalizer.
He did succeed in breaking the previous record, which was held by former Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, when he became the fastest player to reach 25 goals in the Bundesliga in a single season, doing so in just 22 games.

Kane, who cost £86.4 million to go from Tottenham to Bayern last summer, will be looking to reverse Bayern’s European deficit since he has never taken home a major title.
